Zak has performed for Music Theatre Melbourne (MTM) as Aenaes in the original staging of Paris. He has also appeared in many Musicals, Operas and Concerts around Melbourne. Some of his favourite roles include Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Molokov in Chess, John Wilkes Booth in Assassins and Javert in Les Miserables.
